Allie Ostrander of the Boise State Broncos Becomes First Freshman To Win Mountain West Conference Athlete of the Week Three Times

Allie Ostrander made history today when she was again recognized by the Mountain West Conference for her running prowess.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado--Boise State freshman Allie Ostrander was named today as the Mountain West Conference Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, her third such honor this season.

Ostrander thus becomes the first freshman in conference history to earn the honor three times in one season, and just the fourth athlete in league history to earn three weekly honors in a cross country season, joining Boise State's Emma Bates (2014), Cecily Lemmon Lew (BYU, 2009) and Agnes Kemboi (TCU, 2011).

Ostrander's win last Friday at the Wisconsin Invitational also earned her the #1 individual ranking on FloTrak.com.
