Boise State Bronco Basketball Team Preparing For Season Opener

The Bronco basketball team is hard at work preparing for the 2015-16 season opener with Northwestern University of Washington.

Coach Leon Rice's Boise State basketball team is coming off a 25-9 season a year ago, one of the best performances in school history.  The Broncos reached the 20-win plateau for the second consecutive season, won the regular season championship in the Mountain West Conference and earned an at-large berth in the NCAA National Basketball Tournament.  The team isn't satisfied, however, and wants more.

"It's a lot of development going on--everybody's still finding out what they can do and what they can't do," forward James Webb III said.  We're just trying to put the pieces together."

Senior Anthony Drmic, who returns to the team after an injury sidelined him for much of the year, is eager to get back to the team and contribute.

Webb III, who said that losing at Dayton in a play-in game in March "seems like it was last month".  "We didn't finish how we wanted to and we shared the Mountain West," he said.  "We're focused on trying to win it outright this year and then make a run in the NCAA Tournament."
