Drmic required surgery on his ankle just seven games into his senior season last year, and Anthony watched the remainder of the year from the bench. Then, complications from the surgery led to nerve damage in his calf, and Drmic has been fighting through that as well. Last April, the Mountain West Conference approved his medical redshirt waiver allowing Drmic to return this season.
Although Bronco fans are glad to get Drmic back, naturally the concern has been Anthony's health and the struggles he's been going through. "I'm not 100% yet, but I'm just hoping I can contribute any way possible," Ddrmic said. "Dealing with it mentally obviously is a little tough, but I'm just hoping I can contribute and help the team any way possible."
Drmic and the Broncos play at Montana tonight in the season-opener, and he is thrilled to not only be out on the court, but play with this Boise State team.
"I'm excited. We have such a good team. There's so many good players on the court at one time. I'm just happy to be out there and hopefully we can just win games and have a season like last season or even better."
While Drmic was out last year, forward James Webb III emerged as a star in his own right, and although the two have not played many games together, Anthony believes the two complement each other well. "Webby and I are good friends," Drmic said. "We actually together kind of make a good duo."

Drmic has always exhibted all-out hustle. With someone who battles that hard, one gets the feeling he'll get through the frustrating experience of dealing with the injuries and what he's been going through and emerge better on the other side.
Tipoff tonight between Boise State and Montana will be at 7 PM Mountain Time.
