Boise State freshman outside hitter Sabryn Roberts has quickly built a reputation for delivering some of the most thunderous kills on the team. The freshman has worked hard on improving and expanding her game, which allows Coach Shawn Garus to utilize Roberts in different positions.
In Boise State's win over UNLV October 31, Roberts had 12 attacks and zero attack errors. This amazing performance didn't just happen--it's the result of a conscious effort by Roberts. She attributes it to "just stepping in the gym every day and wanting to get better." "I made a goal to make my hitting percentage at a consistent percentage," she said, "and I've been working on that and just keeping balls in play and terminating when I can."

Roberts is one part of what is becoming a dangerous hitting machine for Boise State, as setter Sarah Baugh can turn to several attackers.
"It's definitely an advantage to have so many weapons on the team and not have to depend on just one person," Roberts said.
The Broncos took care of San Diego State in three sets last night, and will host Nevada Saturday afternoon in Bronco Gym. First serve is at 2.
