Boise State Bronco Basketball Team Falls To #10 Arizona Wildcats 88-76

The depth of the Wildcat team proved to be too much for Boise State.

TUCSON, Arizona--Gabe York led four players in double figures as #10 Arizona held off Boise State 88-76 last night for its 41st consecutive home win, the longest current streak in the country.

It was a hard-fought first half, with the lead changing hands 12 times before Arizona went ahead 44-42 at the break.  Nick Duncan hit 4 of 6 from three-point range and scored 16 points in the first half.  Boise State tied it twice early in the second half but depth became an issue as the Arizona bench outscored its counterparts from Boise State 38-3.

James Webb III's 3-pointer briefly gave the Broncos a 47-46 lead 1:22 into the half, but Kadeem Allen followed with a trey of his own.  Webb tied it again at 49 with two free throws before York scored on a three-point play.

York connected on four 3-pointers and hit a career-high 23 points to lead the Wildcats.  Parker Jackson-Cartwright added 14, while freshman Allonzo Trier scored 11 of his 13 in the second half and Allen contributed 10.  Ryan Anderson controlled the boards with 15 rebounds for Coach Sean Miller's Wildcats.

Webb III poured in a career-high 27 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to lead the Broncos, which slipped to 1-2 on the season.  Duncan finished with 21 points while Mikey Thompson added 12.

Boise State returns home for a game Monday night with Concordia, Oregon.
