Boise State Broncos Hope To Even Season Record Against Concordia

Boise State returns home from an impressive performance against #10 Arizona to face Concordia.

BOISE, Idaho--The Boise State basketball team is home tonight for a game against Concordia of Oregon.  The Broncos are still trying to get above .500 for the year, and are hoping they can even their season mark at 2-2.

For James Webb III, the game Thursday at #10 Arizona showed further development for the 6-foot-9 junior.  Webb III threw down tomahawk jams, drilled three-pointers, and drove the lane for short-range buckets.  With Webb and another proven scorer, Anthony Drmic, in the lineup, the Broncos need to find more production from their bench.  That bench was outscored 38-3 by the deeper Wildcats.  Nick Duncan was another bright spot against Arizona with 20 points, including 5 treys.

Guards Paris Austin and Lonnie Jackson are considered great additions to the Bronco team, but the two thus far have combined for just 11 points in 3 games.

Concordia is in the second year of a three-year transition to NCAA Division II. The Cavaliers were members of the NAIA, competing in the Cascade Collegiate Conference until this year. They are now in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

Tipoff tonight is at 7 PM Mountain Time in Taco Bell Arena.
