Senior Aly Duffin of the Boise State Bronco Volleyball Team About To Start A New Chapter

The Boise State volleyball team will honor three seniors Tuesday night prior to the Broncos' regular season finale against Utah State. In this article, we salute senior Aly Duffin.

BOISE, Idaho--Many student-athletes from California go to Boise to play volleyball as well as the numerous other sports at Boise State.  Aly Duffin took the long way.

Duffin, who played her high school ball at Del Oro High School in Loomis, California, originally went to Georgia Southern, but decided to transfer to Boise State as a sophomore in January, 2012.

Duffin earned Academic All-Mountain West in 2013 and was named to the All-Tournament Team for the 2013 Courtyard Marriott Bronco Volleyball Classic.  Duffin has played in 45 matches at middle blocker in her Bronco career, starting 22.

Duffin, a business major, graduates in December.

Duffin said she's enjoyed her senior year:  "It's the best year that we've had since I've been in this program."  After graduation, Ally will weigh her options:  "I have some opportunities here and in California, and I just have to decide what I want to do with it."

Since coming to Boise State, Duffin has adapted well.  "This is my home now.  I absolutely love Boise, and this just really become my home, and being able to be a part of this program now that we are second place is just a great experience."
