Too Much Wildcat for Thanksgiving for Boise State Bronco Basketball Team

All that Wildcat over the last 11 days didn't sit well with the Broncos, and Boise State dropped both games to #10 Arizona.

ANAHEIM, California--For the second time in 11 days, #10 Arizona defeated Boise State, and this one went about the way of the last one.  The Broncos were limited to 12 points in the first 12 minutes of the second half as the Wildcats opened a 19-point lead on the way to a 68-59 win over Boise State in the third-place game of the DirecTV Wooden Legacy Tournament at the Honda Center.

Despite the big deficit, the Broncos battled back, going on an 18-5 run to get within six at the 2:25 mark (62-56).  The two teams traded scores and Boise State was behind 65-59 with 1:23 left.  Arizona milked the clock and Kadeem Allen sank a three-pointer with 46 seconds left for the final margin.

Arizona ended the first half on a 16-4 run.  Boise State led 22-19 with 7:01 left, but the Broncos were 2-for-9 with two turnovers in the final seven minutes before halftime.

James Webb III scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the Broncos.  Nick Duncan scored 10 points but fouled out after 24 minutes of action.  During those 24 minutes Duncan was on the court, the score was tied 39-39.

Anthony Drmic scored eight points to give him 1,620 for his career.  Drmic is now #10 on the Mountain West Conference all-time scoring list, passing Nick Jacobson of Utah.

Boise State dropped to 4-4 on the year, and will host Willamette Wednesday night.  Tipoff will be at 7 MT at Taco Bell Arena.
