Boise State (7-4), defending champions in the Mountain West, is the third of four defending conference champions on Bradley's schedule, joining #13 Arizona (winners of the Pac-12), Virginia (ACC) and Wichita State (MVC).
Sophomore Donte Thomas, a 6-foot-7 forward, leads Bradley in scoring (10.1 points per game) and rebounding (6.0), while shooting 48.1 percent from the floor.
Freshmen have scored 479 of Bradley's 623 points this season (76.9 percent). Freshmen players account for six of Bradley's top seven scorers, as well as eight of the team's top nine rebounders. Guard Dwane Lautier-Ogunleye is scoring at a 9.4 points per game clip, the top scoring freshman and the second-leading freshman rebounder (4.8 rpg) in the Missouri Valley. Callum Barker (7.6), Antoine Pittman (7.4), Ronnie Suggs (6.4) and Luuk van Bree (6.3) join Lautier-Ogunleye to give Bradley five of the Missouri Valley's top ten scoring freshmen.
Bradley used a 19-0 run in the first half and a balanced attack to top Maryville of Missouri 61-53 Thursday night. Pittman scored in double figures for the third consecutive game, leading the Braves with 11 points.
