Boise State Broncos 4th in College Football History for Wins in a 19-Year Period

Boise State continues to make history as one of the most dominant college football teams of all-time.

BOISE, Idaho--With their resounding 55-7 triumph over Northern Illinoisin the Poinsettia Bowl yesterday, Boise State is now tied with Florida State for fourth all-time for wins in a 19-year period.

The Broncos are 196-47 since 1997 while the Seminoles were 196-39-1 from 1987-2005.  Nebraska holds the modern record with a 202-33-1 mark set from 1982-2000.  Two Ivy League teams which were powerhouses in the early days of college football, Yale and Pennsylvania are #1 and #2, respectively.

A school cannot be listed twice for the same era; for example, if they had 190 wins from 1985-2003 and 192 wins from 1989-2007, only the 192 figure is used.
