Heritage HS WR Bubba Ogbebor (Frisco, TX) named Boise State as one of his leaders back in August and still has the Broncos right in the mix. The talented WR hasn't visited The Blue yet, but says he's hoping to in January.
"Boise State and OU are showing the most interest right now," he said. "Both schools are waiting for me to get my ACT score back before setting up an official," he added.
"I just took the test and I signed up to take it again in two weeks," he stated. "I feel like I did well on this last test so I'm hoping I'll get that qualifying score."
"I watched the (Poinsettia) bowl game," said Ogbebor. "At the beginning, it wasn't too pretty but that was a great team win. I liked watching the receivers make plays."
Boise State WRs Coach Junior Adams is currently recruiting Ogbebor and told the standout WR that he likes how he is a "complete" receiver.
"Coach Adams feels like I'm a complete receiver," he said. "He told me he likes how I can stretch the field and run every type of route."
"I like how Coach Adams is young and can relate to us," said Ogbebor. "He's fun to talk to."
The family atmosphere at Boise State has become a strong recruiting tool for the Broncos and Ogbebor says you can definitely feel that coming from the coaching staff.
"They win, but they have that family atmosphere," he said. "The coaches stay together. Nowadays, you see lots of coaches getting fired, but Boise State always seems to keep their coaches together. That's important."
"I like how they share the ball on offense," he said in regards to the Bronco offense. "They don't just have one playmaker...they have several playmakers on their team."
Ogbebor (6'1, 193, 4.53) and his teammates had a disappointing 2015 campaign as they finished 5-5, but the talented WR certainly did his part by being the top playmaker for the Heritage offense.
"We were disappointed that we didn't make the playoffs," he said. "Individually, I was happy with my performance. I was able to become a much more complete receiver this season."
As a senior, Ogbebor racked up 1,150 yards and 15 TDs.
