Ryan Finley Will Graduate And Transfer To Another School

Just a month ago, Ryan Finley told the media that he was looking forward to fighting for the starting spot and that, "I love Boise State. This is where I want to be." Fast Forward a month and Finley has announced that he will leave Boise State at the end of the semester.

Boise State released news today that former starting QB Ryan Finley will graduate from Boise State this May and transfer to another school where he can compete for playing time.

Head Coach Bryan Harsin released the following statement: "We wish Ryan the best. He is going to leave Boise State with a degree, and that is what this is all about."

Finley started the 2015 season as Boise State's starter, but was lost to injury in the third game, but had a rough beginning to his Bronco career, throwing for 426 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions in Boise's first two games -- a win over Washington and a last-second loss to BYU.

Finley was replaced by true Freshman Brett Rypien who went on to earn 1st Team All-MWC and MWC Freshman of the year. Rypien has been the presumptive starter for the 2016 season. Finley's departure leaves Boise State with only 3 scholarship QB's for the 2016 season, including incoming True Freshman Jake Constantine
