Chase Cord spurns offers from the Big10, Big12 and Pac12 to play on the Blue..

Chase Cord decided to give Bronco fans a little bit extra incentive to celebrate this Memorial Day Holiday by pulling the trigger and committing to the Broncos.

Quarterback Chase Cord has 17 scholarship offers.. and the list is unquestionably going to keep growing as his Senior season begins, but as it turns out, all he needed was that one right offer. That offer came from Boise State, and on Memorial Day, Chase made it official and put his stamp of approval on his future home.

Cord is a 6'3 185lb gunslinger from Sunrise Mountain HS in Peoria Arizona. A Top-50 ranked National QB recruit, Cord had racked up an impressive succession of offers from P5 schools, including UtahColoradoOregon StateIllinoisIndianaIowa State, and a slew of other D1 offers. His total list of offers, as mentioned above, currently rests at 17 and is sure to continue to grow.. but what might be even more impressive are the Schools that aren't as well known for their gridiron prowess. Cord boasts offers from academic heavyweights Harvard, Princeton, and Columbia.

That mix of talent and brains is a rare trait, and fits perfectly into the prototypical QB role for the Boise State offense that combines both passing efficiency and a encyclopedic knowledge of the offense with split second coverage reads and check downs.
