Next in line from Highland looks like it could be junior defensive end\tight end Aisa Kelemete, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound versatile weapon who is set to explode onto the recruiting scene.
"It's a blessing, really," he said. "My mom taught at Highland for 22 years so I grew up there. My whole life I wanted to be a Ram and be one of the guys out there playing in the dome under the lights.
"There is some pressure (at Highland), but it's good pressure. It's motivation to follow in the footsteps of the people who have been here and gone on to play in college."
Kelemete was in Boise over the weekend for Boise State's junior day activities. He liked what he saw.
"It was good. It was nice," he said. "Meeting all the coaches and being on campus was incredible. I played in the state championship in 2014 on that field, but I had not seen it like I did on Saturday."
Kelemete visited The Blue with his cousin, Highland linebacker Aren Manu, who Boise State is also targeting. It is very early in the recruiting process, and Kelemete hopes a strong summer and senior season this fall will lead to increased interest.
"Arizona Western has offered, I may take a visit to Arizona and Utah has been talking to me as well," he said. "I am going to the All-Poly camp in Utah this summer and am looking forward to showing out there."
But still fresh in Kelemete's mind are the Broncos.
"I like how the football players and everyone is a family," he said of Boise State. "They said when a freshman gets an interception, the whole team cheers instead of the seniors being jealous or something like that. Everyone wants everyone else to succeed."
