Aisa Kelemete

Standout Pocatello Defensive End Values Boise Offer, But Hopes For More

Highland High School (Pocatello, Idaho) defensive end Aisa Kelemete made his second unofficial visit to Boise State over the weekend, this time to participate in the Broncos' Elite Camp, and the second time proved to be a charm as he walked away with an offer from the Broncos.

"They offered me right at the end of camp," Kelemete said of the Bronco Coaches. "I was stoked about it! I am super excited because this is a great step for me."

Kelemete, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound recruit, is a member of the Idaho football powerhouse Highland Rams. He is appreciative of the Boise State offer as he holds the Broncos in high regards.

"I like how the football players and everyone is a family," he said.

But he doesn't want that offer to be the end of things for him. He has seen teammates before him land at Power 5 schools across the nation, and he hopes to be the next.

"I have always liked the Oregon Ducks," Kelemete said. "Other than that I'm not really looking for any specific offer. But I think it would be sweet to go to a PAC 12 school."

With offers from Weber State, Idaho State, Idaho and now Boise State, he hopes to stay hot on the recruiting trail.

"I want to wait until after my senior year (to commit)," Kelemete said. "I don't feel like I need to rush because if I commit I feel like other schools wouldn't look at me." has been covering Boise State sports since 2002.
