Paraclete HS QB Brevin White (Lancaster, CA) is one of the top QBs on the West Coast in the 2018 class. The 4 Star QB says Boise State has made a strong push recently and White plans to visit The Blue this month due to that.

"Boise State has actually made a strong push," he said. "I got a text today from their entire coaching staff and Coach Harsin has been in contact with me a lot," he added.

"Boise State's approach in recruiting me has been interesting," he stated. "Coach Harsin has cared a lot more about getting to know me as a person. We talk a lot about things that have nothing to do with football."

"They're personable, they're younger, and they've been showing me a lot of love," said White. "They've really been showing recently that they are interested and want to stand out from the other schools that are recruiting me."

So, when will White visit The Blue?

"I'll be in Boise on June 16th for a visit," he said. "I've already done my East Coast swing and now I'm focusing on visiting schools that are closer to home. I've had an offer from Boise State for a while so I want to check it out and see if it's a good fit for me."

"They're one of the winningest programs in college football," said White. "You just look at the history of their program. All they've done is win. That's obviously something that guys want to be a part of."

"I actually played as Boise State a lot in the NCAA football game growing up," he stated. "I like Kellen Moore a lot and my brother got me a #11 jersey. It's funny to think about that now that I'm being recruited by them."

He went on to say that the coaching staff compares him to a current Bronco QB.

"I think they relate me to Brett Rypien," he said. "He's accurate, consistent, and a hard worker. They also like my throwing motion and my ability to escape and make plays if I need to."

"The players are invested and have bought in to the coaches," he said in regards to Boise State. "The system you play in doesn't really matter when you're invested because you'll make the system work."

The fact that Head Coach Bryan Harsin is White's main recruiter is one reason why Boise State is a strong contender.

"I think they like seeing my personality," he said. "Like I said, we talk quite a bit about things other than football. For example, Coach Harsin knows I like country music and was telling me about the Tim McGraw concert he went to recently. Things like that."

"It's unique because they are crossing the T's and dotting the I's," he stated. "They want to make sure their QB is a good fit both on and off the field and the only way to do that is to learn more about their personality. The players have to be able to trust the guy leading them in the huddle."

White has competed in both the Charlotte and Oakland Elite 11 competition. He didn't make the final cut, but says that will only be added motivation.

"I'm the type of guy that goes out there with silent confidence," said White. "My goal is to always beat the other guy each and every rep. I gave it my all in both competitions and feel I performed really well. Now the only thing left for me to do is prove it this season by winning a ring."

So, what does Brevin White (6'2, 183, 4.9) bring to the gridiron?

"I hold myself to a high standard," he said. "Football is a team game, so what I bring is the confidence that I'm going to succeed and help my teammates succeed too," he added.
