Reese currently holds six written offers. "I have been offered by Boise State, Utah, San Diego State, Arizona, Oregon State, and Colorado State," he said. "I also have a verbal offer from Fresno State." Reese has already set-up one official visit as he will visit Fresno State on December 3rd.
The Broncos will receive an official visit as well. "I'm close to setting up a visit to Boise State and Utah," he said. "I'm hoping I can go to a game at both schools."
Reese is being recruited by Boise State WRs Coach Steve Smyte. "Coach Smyte is recruiting me," he said. "He came by my school a couple times. He's a real nice guy and he's very interested in me. I like that." Coach Smyte keeps in contact with Reese on a regular basis. "I talk to him around once a week," he said. "He sends me a lot of text messages."
John likes the hard working aspect of the Boise State Football Program. "I watch Boise State play and they are a team that gets after it," he said. "They have a very good team and you can tell that by their record. They have a very nice atmosphere."
Reese and his teammates currently have a record of 1-1. "We lost 35-34 in our first game," he said. "We lost on a two point converstion to Redland East Valley with thirty seconds left in the game." Last week, John's team had a much better outcome as they defeated Riverside Poly by a score of 30-6. Reese had an excellent game as he hauled in four catches for 91 yards which included a TD catch of 41 yards.
John has set both high team and personal goals for this upcoming season. "We're trying to develop some of our younger players and win as many games as possible," he said. "We were League Champions last season and I think we'll win again this season." As for personal goals? "I want to double my number of catches from last season," he said. Should Reese reach that goal, it would be an excellent season as he hauled in 16 catches for 264 yards and 4 TDs last season.
Reese is just one of many highly recruited prospects that has a high interest in Boise State. BroncoCountry.com will keep all subscribers updated on his performance and interest in Boise State throughout the season.
