Lady Broncos Run Away from Utah State 70-38

Boise State's women's basketball team is a program on the move. With a 70-38 WAC win tonight, the Broncos showed they are going to be a factor in the league race.

The Boise State women's basketball team rolled to a 30-point lead in the first half en route to a 70-38 drubbing of Western Athletic Conference rival Utah State tonight in Taco Bell Arena. Senior Nadia Begay paved the way for the Lady Broncos with 19 points, 17 in the first half to spur the Broncos' charge. Begay nailed 5 of 6 three-pointers for Boise State. Jackie Lee contributed 11 points and helped the Broncos to a 54-29 rebounding edge with 9 boards. Jackie Thompson also grabbed 10 rebounds for Boise State. The Bronco defense was solid, holding Utah State to just 27 percent from the floor.

With the victory, Boise State moves to 9-6 overall and 1-2 in the WAC and will go for its 10th win of the year Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. against Nevada in Taco Bell Arena.
