Boise State defensive tackle Alex Guerrero will play in today's All-American Football Classic in Las Vegas. Kickoff for the battle between East and West college football stars is 2:30 Mountain Time; Fox Sports will televise the Classic live.
Guerrero was an All-Western Athletic Conference choice this past season, helping the Broncos to their fourth straight WAC title. Boise State was 45-7 in Guerrero's four years in Boise. He was credited with 31 tackles in 2005, 17 of those unassisted, with nine tackles for loss and four sacks and a forced fumble. In his career at Boise State, Guerrero had 105 tackles, 47 unassisted, 21.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
Guerrero joins All-American tackle Daryn Colledge in postseason all-star games. Colledge will star in the Senior Bowl to be played later this month.
