Lady Broncos Down Pesky Nevada 58-50

The Boise State women found a way to win Saturday afternoon, turning back Nevada 58-50 in Taco Bell Arena. They face a San Jose State team next week which is undefeated in WAC play.

Boise State's women's basketball team downed Nevada 58-50 yesterday afternoon in Taco Bell Arena to even their Western Athletic Conference record at 2-2. The Broncos never trailed, but were never able to put the Pack away due to 32 % shooting. Jackie Lee was impressive for Boise State with her first career double-double, hitting 14 points and grabbing 13 rebounds for the Lady Broncos. Jessica Thompson led the team in scoring with 17 and Michelle Hessing chipped in 12 for Boise State, which won its 10th game of the season against 6 losses. Rebounding was the key to victory, with Boise State commanding a 49-38 advantage.

Nevada was led by Traci Graham's 19 points and nine rebounds. Dellena Criner added 10 points and six rebounds for the Wolf Pack. Nevada drops to 3-12 overall and are 0-4 in the WAC.

Boise State hits the road next Thursday for a game with San Jose State. The Spartans are 2-0 in the WAC and 7-6 overall. San Jose has won four games in a row, including a pair of home non-conference wins this past week against North Dakota State and South Dakota State.
