Lady Broncos Lose Road Contest to San Jose

San Jose State was riding a 6-game winning streak heading into its contest against Boise State. The Broncos badly needed a win to climb back into the WAC race.

Boise State lost a key women's basketball game Thursday night to San Jose State 63-57 in San Jose. The Broncos were striving to move among the leaders in the Western Athletic Conference, one of which were the Spartans. Freshman Jessica Thompson poured in 25 points on 4 of 5 shooting from three-point range to lead the Bronco attack. San Jose State advanced to 3-0 in the WAC and 8-6 overall with their 7th consecutive win. Boise State slips to 2-3 and 10-7 overall. The Broncos host Hawai'i Monday night in Taco Bell Arena.
