Broncos Becoming Road Warriors

Boise State's road winning streak is now two. The Bronco basketball team rallied back to top San Jose State last night 77-75.

Boise State collected its second straight road victory last night as Matt Bauscher scored a career-high 22 points to lead the Broncos to a come-from-behind 77-75 win over San Jose State. Coach Greg Graham's team connected on 8-of-11 free throws in the last 1:56 to rally from a 10-point deficit for the win.

San Jose State (5-15, 1-6 in the WAC) led by 10 points three times, including 52-42 with 14:33 to play. After Boise State tied the game at 57, neither team led by more than four points the rest of the way. Boise State rallied from a 70-66 deficit with 2:47 to play when Bauscher sank a three to pull the Broncos to within one. When Coby Karl made 2 of 3 free throws to put Boise State ahead 71-70, the Broncos never trailed after that.

Karl struggled in the first half with three fouls but finished with 16 points and a career-high eight assists. Seth Robinson accounted for 12 points and seven rebounds, while Tyler Tiedeman and Kareem Lloyd finished with eight points each.

The Broncos, now 4-5 in WAC play and 11-9 overall, host Fresno State at 2 p.m. Saturday in Taco Bell Arena.
