Jones Remains Perfect For Hamburg

Former Boise State placekicker Tyler Jones was deadly accurate in 2004 (24-27) but this spring in Europe, he's a perfect 8-8.

Former Boise State All-American kicker Tyler Jones continues to impress in NFL Europe. Jones connected on two field goals and an extra point for Hamburg last Saturday. Jones has not missed a field goal or PAT attempt yet in NFL Europe.

Jones holds the NCAA, Western Athletic Conference and Boise State records for consecutive extra points with 77. He also set single-season records for field goals with 24 and extra points with 75 and is third all-time at Boise State with 43 career field goals (Mike Black has 51 and Nick Calaycay 45.) Despite starting only two seasons, Jones is also third all-time among kickers at Boise State with 243 points behind Calaycay (348) and Black (275). Calaycay and Black each started four seasons for the Broncos.

Jones was one of the top three finalists for the prestigious Lou Groza Award in 2004, awarded annually to the nation's top collegiate kicker. Jones and Hamburg play this Sunday at Cologne.
