Boise State released news that the men's Bronco Basketball program had gotten it's first player for the 2006-2007 recruiting season. Aaron Garner, a combo-guard from Yuba College has signed his letter of intent and will be a Bronco starting next season..

Aaron Garner, a 6'3 PG/SG redshirted his first season at Yuba, but last year was one of the 49'rs team leaders, averaging 11.2 points, 3.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals on a team that finished 23-10, good enough to be named second-team All-Bay Valley League honors as a freshman. He was also named the team's defensive MVP, and hit on over 40% of his 3-point attempts.

According to Yuba College sports information, while at River City High School, Garner was named the league MVP while averaging 23 pts, 5 rebs and 4.5 assists.Arron was also named Honorable Mention All-City and was named to 2 different area all-star games.

Garner, who has the ball handling skills, size, and outside shot to play both the 1 and 2 positions, will be a 2-for-2 player since he has already redshirted, but that should fit into exactly what the Broncos will need with the impending graduation of Bronco seniors PG Eric Lane and SG Coby Karl.
