Boise State Tennis Team Vaults To #17

The Boise State men's tennis team is making a move towards the national top ten. On the strength of an impressive win over previous #9 Stanford, the Broncos are now #17.

Thanks to a monumental win at #9 Stanford and a follow-up victory over Santa Clara, the Boise State tennis team has moved from #25 to #17 in this week's College Tennis Online Rankings.  Georgia tops the rankings, with traditional power Baylor #2.  Ohio State is third, followed by UCLA and Virginia.  The only other Western Athletic Conference teams ranked are Fresno State at #45 and Hawai'i at #69.

Individually, Luke Shields is ranked 15th while brother Clancy is #94.

The Broncos (3-0) take on #42 San Diego this Saturday and face #49 San Diego State Sunday afternoon.
