The women's 4 x 400-meter relay team finished the race with a mark of 4:41.22, the second fastest time in school history and less than two tenths of a second off the Bronco record of 4:41.06 set in 1988. Kayleen McDowell, Megan Olivetti, Paige Olivetti and Nerisha Phillip are headed to the NCAA Regionals!
Joining the four gals will be Zacharias Arnos, who turned in a 50-foot, 8.75-inch triple jump yesterday afternoon. Coach Mike Maynard's Broncos now have qualified for the Regionals in 16 events.
Megan Olivetti and Phillip also collected individual wins as Megan won both the 100 and 200-meters in 12.18 and 24.52, respectively. Phillip captured the Twilight title in the 400 with a time of 55.55.

Other Bronco winners included Breanne Sande in the 1,500 (4:31.50), the 4 x 100-meter relay team (47.14), Annika Hjelm in the hammer (193-9) and Amber Tavares in the shot put (43-11.75) and discus (144-5). Cody Eaton was victorious for the men at 800 meters (1:53.28), as was the 4 x 100-meter relay team (41.60), the 4 x 400-meter relay team (3:21.30), Brandon Christofferson in the 2000-meter steeplechase (6:14.40) and Scott Viafore in the javelin. Viafore tossed the spear 231 feet to win that event in a final tune-up before the Western Athletic Conference Championships.
