Bronco Wrestlers Run Over Wyoming 38-3

In an impressive show of team depth, Boise State opened the 2007-08 dual wrestling season with a convincing 38-3 rout of Wyoming.

The Boise State wrestling squad won nine of 10 matches today to dominate Wyoming 38-3 in the first dual match of the season.  Sophomore Matt Casperson recorded a pin of Kyle Morrow at 3:51 in their 184-pound match while freshman Alan Bartelli pined Cody Grant just past the four-minute mark of their dual at 125 pounds.


Levi Jones began the meet with a 10-4 win over Cole Dallaserra to get the Broncos on the board.  18th-ranked Adam Hall took it to Cody Chipperfield with a 14-5 major decision at 149 pounds.  #11 Tyler Sherfey followed with a technical fall over Clay Sondgeroth 16-1 and the rout was on.          


            The Broncos will enjoy Christmas break before getting back to the mats December 29-30 at the Southern Scuffle in Greensboro, North Carolina.
