Boise State Wears Down Louisiana Tech 81-66

Boise State looked like a conference front-runner tonight in dispatching Louisiana Tech 81-66 tonight in Taco Bell Arena. It was a much more impressive Bronco group than the one that took the floor against New Mexico State on Thursday.

Boise State's men's basketball team jumped to a 20-point lead early in the first half, then played even with Louisiana Tech the rest of the way to post an 81-66 win tonight in Taco Bell Arena.  The Bronco front court of Reggie Larry (25 points on 10-14 shooting, 15 rebounds and three blocked shots) , Matt  Nelson (22 points on 8-11 shooting and Tyler Tiedeman (15 points including 4-6 from three-point territory) burned the outmatched Bulldogs time and again to lead the win.

Coach Greg Graham's team, which entered the contest second in the nation in field goal percentage, converted on 50.9 percent of their shots tonight and controlled the boards 39-25.  Boise State's must-win at home moved the Broncos to 3-1 in Western Athletic Conference play and 12-4 on the season.

Drew Washington led Tech with 20 points while Kyle Gibson had 18 points and seven rebounds.

Tech slipped to 3-12 and 0-3 in WAC play.
