It was almost disaster for the Boise State women's basketball team. The Broncos overcame poor shooting to outlast Idaho 65-60 for their seventh straight win.

basketball team avoided a huge upset last night by gutting out a 65-60 win over
2-18 Idaho in Moscow.Guards Jessica Thompson and Tasha Harris hit
17 of 19 free throws in the second half and combined for 33 points to lead BoiseState to its seventh consecutive

Conference champions are in second place with a 7-2 league mark, ½ game behind FresnoState (7-1).Idaho slips to 1-7 in conference
BoiseState had to battle a dismal shooting
performance and a fired up Idaho squad for the win.The two teams combined for just seven field
goals in the first 13 minutes of the game, five by Idaho and only two for BoiseState.The Broncos were down 16-11 with remaining in the half when
Coach Gordy Presnell's team rallied to tie the game at 24 going into the locker
Neither team led by
more than four points in the second half until Thompson's free throw in the
final seconds gave BoiseState the final margin of
victory.The Broncos shot just 29.8 percent
from the field (17-57) but won the game from the free-throw line by hitting
Thompson finished with
18 points while Harris contributed 15 points and six steals.Jackie Lee led the Bronco effort on the
boards with nine rebounds to go with seven points while freshman Sierra Moeller
had seven points, six rebounds and a career-high three blocked shots.
Katie Madison led Idaho with 22 points and 10 rebounds,
Alana Curtis chipped in 13 points and Carli Bakondy added 10.Yinka Olorunnife led all players with 14
BoiseState improved to 15-6 on the season
and hosts five of their last seven games.The Broncos host Louisiana Tech next Thursday and New MexicoState on Saturday.
