Boise State Turns Back Moscow 78-64

Boise State's seniors came through in a big way, as the starting five scored 76 of the team's 78 points in defeating Idaho.

Senior Forward Reggie Larry scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds and seniors Tyler Tiedeman and Matt  Nelson had 17 points each as Boise State downed Idaho 78-64 tonight at Taco Bell Arena in Boise.

The Broncos (16-5) rolled to their fourth consecutive win to remain percentage points behind Utah State in the Western Athletic Conference standings.

Larry and Tiedeman each had 11 points in leading Boise State to a 39-22 halftime advantage.  Idaho went on a second-half run to cut the lead to 66-52 with six minutes remaining but that would be as close as they would get.

Larry had five assists, two steals and a block for the Broncos, while Matt Bauscher had 13 points.

Michael Crowell led Idaho (5-15, 2-7 in the WAC) with 18 points on six-of-nine shooting from three-point territory.  Clyde Johnson had 12 while Darin Nagle contributed 11.

Boise State goes on an important road swing with perhaps their title hopes hanging in the balance.  The Broncos travel to Louisiana Tech Thursday before a battle with defending WAC champion New Mexico State on Saturday.
