Do A Little Dance!

The Boise State Lady Broncos were rewarded for their great season with a berth in the Women's National Invitation Basketball Tournament. Boise State takes on Idaho State this Thursday in Taco Bell Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and tickets range from $6-7.

Boise State has been selected to play in the Women's National Invitation Basketball Tournament and will host Idaho State at Taco Bell Arena this Thursday night.  The Broncos, who lost in the semifinals of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament to host New Mexico State, will be playing in their fifth postseason tournament.

The ironic matchup pits two instate rivals that have already played this season.  Boise State downed the Lady Bengals 78-74 in Pocatello in December and have won four straight over ISU.  Boise State leads the all-time series 42-18 and has outpointed Idaho State 22-7 in Boise.

This will be the second WNIT for Boise State, as the Broncos were defeated by LSU on the Tigers' home court back in 1998.  In 1975, Boise State (21-3) was in the AIAW National Tournament as the District 8 Tournament Champion.  They lost to Wayland Baptist 93-37 and to Kansas State 65-37.  In 1994, the Broncos (23-6) received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.  They traveled to Seattle to play host Washington and lost 89-61.  Last year, Boise State received an automatic NCAA berth as WAC Champions and fell to nationally-ranked George Washington 76-67.

The winner of this Thursday's match will travel to play TCU next Monday, March 24th. Look over the complete

Women's NIT Bracket.

Tipoff between Boise State and Idaho State is set for 7 p.m. Thursday.  Tickets are on sale at all Select-A-Seat outlets and are just $7 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens.
