Boise State Dominates All-Idaho Meet

The #23 Boise State track and field team captured six individual titles, while the Bronco women won four events at the All-Idaho Collegiate Championship meet in Bronco Stadium.


Boise State's men set two regional qualifying marks, with Zacharias Arnos winning the triple jump (51-feet, 4.25 inches) and Trevor Kraychir topping the field in the hammer (198-7).  Sasa Kempic earned the only women's regional qualifying mark with a javelin toss of 157-2.


Senior Ryan Grinnell captured the long jump with a leap of 24-0.25, Per Strandquist sped by all competitors to win the 100 meters (10.70) and the Broncos swept the 4 x 100-meter and 4 x 400-meter relays.  The Bronco women also won the 4 x 400-meter relay and got wins from Breanna Sande in the steeplechase on Friday (11:20.50) and Danielle Valentine in the pole vault (11-11.75).  Sande's time is the third best in school history, passing Laura Ellsworth (11:25.30 in 2002) and Valentine tied Alina Schimpf (2005) for the third best vault in the Bronco record books.


The Broncos trek to Tempe, Arizona for the prestigious Sun Devil Classic this weekend.
