Narbonne HS CB Bryan Douglas (Harbor City, CA) recently received his first offer and he's been following the Broncos for quite a while. "I love their facilities and I'll get good academics and football if I go there," he said. "I love their uniforms and their coaching staff too. I've gotten nine handwritten letters from them. My DB coach has really put me out there and helped me out. He knows Coach (Marcel) Yates."

Douglas (5'10, 175, 4.4) is hearing from quite a few other programs as well. "I'm hearing from Oregon, San Diego State, Washington, UCLA, and Louisville," he said. Bryan feels another offer could be on the way soon. "I think Washington might offer. I've been talking to Coach (Demetrice) Martin weekly."

The Bronco coaches first took notice of Douglas last season. "One of their coaches came to one of our games last season," he said. "I feel that I got the offer because I've been working hard and shining at the camps."

Bryan and (DB Coach) Marcel Yates have already made a connection. "Coach Yates told me I'm a good player," he said. "He was the first coach to tell me they really wanted me. He was real cool about the situation and someone I can stay in contact with," he added.

The Broncos currently have an edge due to being the first offer for Douglas. "Boise will be heavy in my decision. They were the first to offer me and give me a chance. That means a lot to me."

A few visits to Boise are currently being planned. "I'll be up there for an unofficial visit, the camp, and an official visit," he said.

Spring practice begins next week at Narbonne HS and the Gauchos are looking to build off their excellent 2008 campaign. "We were 12-1-1 last season and tied in the championship," he said. "I just want to get better and improve on everything this spring. I've been in the weight room a lot and practicing my skills, footwork, speed, and muscle tone."

Douglas has a few goals in mind for his senior season. "I just want to do the best I can. I'd like to get at least 7 INTs and 20 TDs." Last season, Douglas had 3 INTs, 11 deflections, and 40 tackles. He'll play both CB and WR this season. "I'll end up playing CB in the long run," he said. will continue to have updates on Bryan Douglas.
