Piscataway Township HS LB Kyle Polk (Piscataway, NJ) is currently in the process of preparing for spring practice. He's got one school on his mind at this point. "Boise State is my favorite," he said. "I'm also being recruited by Michigan State, Rutgers, Boston College, Syracuse, Miami, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh."

Polk (6'0, 195, 4.6) received a brochure about the Boise State program and he looks at it each day. "The atmosphere is crazy out there in Boise," he said. "They sent me a brochure and I look at it everyday. It's just a cool atmosphere. I'm going to have to check it out," he added.

Kyle will make the trip to Boise this summer for the camp. "I'm going to the Boise State camp," he said. "I'll be there with full contact and everything." Attending the camp will provide Polk with a solid look at the program. "I want to see everything I can," he said. "I want to meet the coaches and see the defensive schemes that they run. I'd like to come back with an offer."

Piscataway Township is one of the many powerhouse programs in the state of NJ. "We were 11-1 last year and we won the state championship. We're in one of the top divisions in Jersey." Polk and his teammates were victorious in the state championship against Hunterdon Central. "I took one back 81 yards to the house," he said in reference to his INT in the 38-0 victory. Kyle averaged 15 tackles per game last season and also racked up 4 sacks.

Spring practice is coming up soon. "Spring practice starts right after track," he said. "I want to see where our defense is at. I want to get back to that championship game and win another one."

Polk has a few personal goals for the upcoming 2009 season. "I want to make all-everything this year," he said. "I won Player of the Year as a junior and sophomore. I want Defensive Player of the Year too this season."

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Kyle Polk.
