Can Boise State Tennis Sweep The Tide Aside?

It's a Boise State-Alabama doubleheader today in the NCAA Tennis Championships. The Bronco women are currently underway vs. the Crimson Tide in the opening round while the Boise State men will need to be tough from top to bottom to knock off #14 Alabama in the second rounce of the men's championships.

Boise State's tennis teams will aim for a twin-killing today vs. Alabama.

First, the #36 Bronco women's team coached by Mark Tichenor will challenge the 24th-ranked Crimson Tide in the first round of the NCAA Women's Championships in Athens, Georgia.  The match is underway with Boise State taking the doubles point.  This afternoon at 1 MST the #25 Boise State men's team coached by Greg Patton will meet #14 Alabama in the Men's NCAA Championships.  The Broncos disposed of Middle Tennessee State yesterday 4-0.

Boise State has come a long ways to go toe-to-toe with the "big boys" in nearly half of the sports that it competes in.  The Broncos already showed what they could do in football by knocking off powerhouse Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl.  Now it's time for the other sports to climb to the next level as well.
