Byrd Tabbed As Camper of the Day
Sophomore Thomas Byrd is the second Camper of the Day of the 2009 season. The Bronco center, who is on the Remington Watch List this fall, was named by head coach Chris Petersen following practice at the former East Junior High School field. "He is an experienced player that got better from day one to day two," said Petersen. "He made all the calls from the O-line and directed traffic. If he keeps improving like he did today, he will be an excellent player for us this fall." Byrd started all 13 games as a freshman last season and will be a key if the line is to improve its run-blocking from last season.
