Coughlin Is Saturday's Camper Of The Day

Quarterback Mike Coughlin is the latest to be honored by Boise State head football coach Chris Petersen with the Camper of the Day distinction.

Junior quarterback Mike Coughlin was head coach Chris Petersen's Camper of the Day Saturday as the tall signal-caller from San Diego has been working hard improving his game.

"He had a great day today, and, more importantly, everyday he's gotten a little bit better out here," said Petersen. "His game has improved since last year and he has done a great job taking advantage of the extra reps he's been getting."

Coughlin has completed nine-of-15 passes for 115 yards in his Bronco career and has been featured on quarterback draws in some packages, picking up 17 yards.  , a junior from San Diego, Calif., has completed 9-of-19 passes in his two year career for 108 yards. He has also rushed for 15 yards on 11 attempts. In 2008, he finished with 25 yards passing and 7 yards on the ground.

Coughlin was the Offensive Scout Player of the Year during his redshirt year of 2006.  While playing at Mira Mesa High School, Coughlin was named third-team all-state.  He completed 119-of-195 passes his senior year for 25 touchdowns and just three interceptions.
