'I Really Like Boise A Lot'

Vista HS WR Troy Ware (Vista, CA) just recently received his second offer as Boise State is the latest school to extend an offer to the talented prospect. Ware is looking to become a team leader in 2009 as he hopes to lead Vista to the state playoffs. He spoke to BroncoCountry.com about his recruitment, his interest in Boise State, and the upcoming 2009 season.

Vista HS WR Troy Ware (Vista, CA) just recently received his second offer as Boise State is the latest school to extend an offer to the talented prospect. "Boise State offered me last Monday," he said. "I was kind of expecting it since Coach K (Kwiatkowski) was feeling me out a few phone calls before. I'm pretty excited about it," he added. Ware also holds an offer from San Diego State and he's still open at this point in his recruitment. "I'm still open to everyone, but I really like Boise a lot."

Ware (6'2, 170, 4.55) decided to head north to Boise to take part in a one day camp held on the Bronco campus and the interest has picked up since that time. "It was pretty good," he said in reference to the camp. "It was back in June. The camp was a padded camp. I came in shorts and that's all they needed to see. I liked Boise a lot."

Troy got some one on one time with (Assistant Head Coach/WRs Coach) Brent Pease while at the camp. "I spent the most time with Coach Pease," he said. "Coach Pease seems like a player's coach. He's a good guy and can give you the right coaching."

The standout WR is now looking ahead to the start of summer two a days in the near future. "We're on our dead period," Ware said. "The 7 on 7 passing went well and summer two a days start next week. I'm trying to get back in shape and stay healthy," he added.

The Vista offense usually centers on a power running game. That could change this year with experience at WR. "We are mostly a power running offense," he said. "We're starting to throw the ball a bit more." Ware now hopes to provide some senior leadership and help his team get to state. "I want to be the go to guy on our team. We have a lot of good players this year. I also want to be number one WR in our league and county. I want to go to state as well."

Vista will open the season on September 4th as they will take on Mira Mesa. "We should beat them," he said. "We lost last year. I think we should win this year."
