Wilson Hopes To Hear From Boise State

Tulare Union HS WR Marquess Wilson (Tulare, CA) has racked up six offers but he hopes to garner more attention from Boise State. Wilson and his teammates reeled off an undefeated season in 2008 and they are hoping for more in 2009. He spoke to BroncoCountry.com about his interest in Boise State and his recruitment thus far.

Tulare Union HS WR Marquess Wilson (Tulare, CA) has racked up six offers but he hopes to garner more attention from Boise State. "I like how Boise State plays football and their intensity," he said. "I'd like to hear from Boise State," he added.

Wilson holds offers from Arizona State, Washington State, Fresno State, Nevada, UNLV, and San Diego State. Currently, two schools are above the rest with one pulling ahead for a slight lead. "Arizona State and Washington State are my top two," Wilson said. "I'm leaning a little towards Arizona State. I get the chance to do football and track. I also like the way they run their offense."

Edward Dillihunt from Tulare Union has also been on the Bronco radar and Marquess hopes the two can be a package deal. "Me and Edward are trying to be a package deal," he said. "We're cousins and we're real close. We just have that chemistry."

Last season, the Tulare Union Redskins dominated opponents week after week as they finished with a 13-0 record. The Redskins outscored opponents by a grand total of 645-162 en route to a perfect season. Unfortunately, the playoff system in California is much like the BCS and the Redskins weren't picked for a state bid. "We finished 13-0," Wilson said. "We hope to do the same thing this year. They said our competition wasn't hard enough last year."

The standout WR has one specific goal in mind and that's to beat the TD record held by his brother. "I'm trying to break my brother's record. I think he scored 25 TDs. I got 18 last year."

Wilson (6'3, 170, 4.6) will make his college decision following the upcoming season. "Well, I decided that I'm going to decide after football," he said.

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Marquess Wilson.
