Blackmon (6'1, 180, 4.41) is wide open at this early point in his recruitment and didn't necessarily have a favorite school growing up. "I grew up a bandwagon fan," he stated. "I was pulling for whoever was winning. USC was winning most so I grew up liking them."
The Broncos and Ducks caught Devon's attention due to the unique aspects surrounding both programs. "I like the blue field and they are an all-around good school," he said in reference to Boise State. "I like the uniforms for Oregon and their field too."
The outstanding 2011 prospect attended both the USC and UCLA camp and put on a show. "USC just makes you perform at your best," he said. "The practices are just like the game. They just get you hyped up. UCLA is just home and the coaches are cool. They told me they'd use the wildcat formation if I was to go there," Blackmon added.
Devon has seen time all over the field so far in the 2009 season. "I play DB, QB, WR and RB," he said. "I play WR full-time right now and QB sometimes. I just want to do what I have to do to get the wins."
Blackmon and his teammates at Summit are currently 4-3 and looking for a big win this weekend. "We're doing alright," he said. "We have a big game against Keiser. We have to play hard and as a team. I have to make plays."
