Future Bronco Putting Together Solid Season

Bakersfield College DE Tyrone Crawford (Windsor, ON) has put together a solid season and is still hoping to enroll at Boise State in January. Crawford and his teammates are enjoying tremendous success so far in 2009 and hope to ride that wave of momentum to the finish of the season. He spoke to BroncoCountry.com about his enrollment status, his current season to date, and his future as a Bronco.

Bakersfield College DE Tyrone Crawford (Windsor, ON) is currently putting together a solid season and is still hoping to enroll at Boise State in January. "I might be coming up in January," Crawford said. "I still have to see how my classes go. I'll be there for sure by summer," he added.

The standout DE committed to Boise State in April and is thrilled to be a Bronco. "I'm 100% committed," he said. "I speak to Coach K (Kwiatkowski) and Coach Pete once a week. They are usually just checking up and seeing how I'm doing."

The Broncos currently sit at #6 in the BCS standings and a BCS Bowl is within reach. Tyrone has enjoyed watching his future teammates have success on the gridiron. "They are doing real well," he stated. "I'm just happy to hear about the record and know that everything is good. This is something I have looked forward to since I was told I could play Division I. I'm happy to see that they are up there."

Bakersfield has dominated throughout the 2009 season and currently sit in first place in their conference. "We're 8-1 and undefeated in conference," Crawford said. "This is our BYE week and then we have one more week." The future Bronco is currently enjoying a solid 2009 campaign. "I'm not sure what my stats are, but the (local) newspaper said I was leading in sacks and tackles in the backfield."

The Bronco defense has thrived due to having solid discipline and good tackling. Crawford (6'4, 258) believes he brings just that to The Blue. "I'm a good tackler," he said. "I'm a lot faster than the other D-linemen and I bring speed. I can play the run and pass pretty good," he added.

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Tyrone Crawford.
