Being on the other side of the country hasn't stopped Jones from being a big fan of Boise State. "I feel they are underrated and don't get enough votes," he said in reference to the Broncos. "I feel they could really do some things. They have a nice program and I'd like to see them in the championship," he added.
The amount of mail that Jones is getting each and everyday from bigtime programs is unbelievable. Alabama, Miami, Florida State, and LSU send him mail regularly. The one school he wants to hear from? "I would love to hear from Boise State," Jones said.
Jones (6'5, 260) is a versatile ATH that only played DE for his first two years in HS. He jumped to the O-line in 2009 and dominated. "This was my first year playing OT and I know I had 50 pancakes," he stated. "I probably had 4 or 5 sacks on defense." Chris brings a hard hitting mentality to the gridiron. "I'm smashing when it comes to run blocking. My footwork is excellent. At DE, I like coming off the edge. A lot of HS tackles can't do anything with me because of my size."
It'll be all about respect for the standout ATH in 2010. Jones wants to lead his team further in the playoffs. "First, everyone in Jacksonville will respect me," he said. "I want to take my team far in the playoffs. That means I have to hit the weight room, track field, and hit the books. I'm ready for the ACT on December 12th," he added.
