Narbonne won a close one against Carson to get back to the championship game. Carson was victorious over the Gauchos in the regular season matchup, but Narbonne won the rematch. "Man, our coaches had been pounding in our heads how much we wanted this rematch," Douglas said. "We practiced hard all week and it was a back and forth game all night. I had three critical catches for around 25-30 yards each. We won 42-38."
Douglas (5'11, 170, 4.4) has shown his versatility all season as he has been a playmaker on both sides of the ball. His speed has been utilized at the WR position and opposing QBs rarely throw to his side of the field. "My stats are 41 catches for 758 yards and 5 TDs," he said. "I also have a kickoff return for a TD, 4 INTs, 46 tackles, and 14 pass breakups."
It was announced on Sunday night that the Broncos would play TCU in the Fiesta Bowl. Bryan sees this as a solid match-up for Boise State. "Man, it's a great feeling knowing that we are going to a good Bowl and playing a team like TCU. We'll have to definitely be disciplined on defense and have no mental breakdowns. The running game has been dominating. I think we can run and pass on them. Titus (Young) has just been a baller out there."
Bronco fans will be happy to know that Douglas models his game after (Boise State standout) Kyle Wilson. "I model my game after Kyle Wilson," Douglas said. "You can expect to see me flying to the ball on every play. I'm a ball hawk. I love hitting even though I'm small. I always know my assignment and I will always give 100% as well."
BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Bryan Douglas throughout his senior season.
