Punahou School ATH Jeremy Ianoe (Honolulu, HI) took an official visit to Boise State last weekend as the Broncos are looking to build a pipeline to the talent filled Hawaiian Islands. The Boise State coaches like to recruit ATHs that can play numerous positions on the field and that's exactly what Ioane brings to the gridiron. "I had to switch position and move to offense last season," he stated. "I played some QB in the wildcat and some receiver. Boise State wants me at strong safety."

Jeremy enjoyed every minute of his visit to Boise State as he felt a real connection with the Bronco coaches. "Me and Coach Petersen talked about school and what I look for in a football team," he said. "I pretty much told him family oriented, good chemistry, and a team that's close to each other. He told me that's what they are," he added.

Ioane (5'10, 175, 4.54) looked up at the stands in Bronco Stadium and imagined what it would be like to wear the Blue and Orange. "The stadium was crazy," he said. "I love the blue turf. I was just walking on the field and I tried to imagine myself playing on the field. It just felt crazy standing on the field and looking up into the stands."

Jeremy and his family got a visit from Defensive Coordinator Justin Wilcox the week prior to his official visit. "Coach Wilcox came down and met my family before I went on my trip," Ioane said. "My mom and dad got to talk to him and get a feel for who I'm going to be with if I go to Boise State. He's real straightforward like all the coaches there and really connects with the players. Both of my parents felt comfortable."

The standout ATH is taking a look at numerous programs right now as he hopes to find the best fit for him. More official visits could be on the horizon. "I think I might wait until Signing Day," he said. "I might take a couple more visits. Coach Smith from Arkansas called me and asked if I wanted to visit." Ioane currently holds offers from Boise State, Washington, Washington State, Stanford, Utah, and Hawaii.

Energy and a passion for the game is what Ioane brings to the field. "Well, I know I come to the field with a lot of energy," he said. "I get pumped and psyched up. Size doesn't matter and I just try to go make game changing plays," he added.

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Jeremy Ioane.
