Boise State's Petersen To Sign 5Yr Extension

Boise State coach Chris Petersen, who has his team in a BCS Bowl game for the second time in four years, has agreed to a five-year contract extension to remain at Boise State.

Boise State held a press conference in Glendale, Arizona to announce that head football coach Chris Petersen has agreed to a five-year contract extension.

Petersen, athletic director Gene Bleymaier and university president Bob Kustra were present at the announcement. According to the principals, terms of the deal were agreed to last week and will be presented to the Idaho State Board of Education for approval.

According to Petersen, the deal also takes care of his assistants, one of his main priorities.
