Bryan Douglas Is One Happy Bronco

Nathaniel Narbonne HS CB Bryan Douglas (Harbor City, CA) watched with excitement as the Broncos wrapped up yet another Fiesta Bowl victory and undefeated season on Monday night. The future Bronco is now working hard as he hopes to be in excellent condition upon his arrival in Boise this summer. He spoke to BroncoCountry.com about his commitment to Boise State and his future as a Bronco.

Nathaniel Narbonne HS CB Bryan Douglas (Harbor City, CA) watched with excitement as the Broncos wrapped up yet another Fiesta Bowl victory and undefeated season on Monday night. Words can't describe just how happy he is with his decision to play on The Blue. "Gosh, I don't know what to say about that win," he said. "It was big. This is all good publicity and we work hard. I don't know what to say about this team anymore," he added.

Douglas spoke with Head Coach Chris Petersen on Saturday and the formula for a Boise State victory was put in simple terms. "I talked to Coach Pete before the game on Saturday and asked how they felt about the game," he stated. "He told me TCU is a great team and it'll come down to our defense playing well. He was totally right and our secondary hardly gave up anything. They were on point. I'm just happy I'm going there."

Bryan (5'11, 170, 4.4) is now looking forward to having his in-home visit with Chris Petersen later this month. The competitive nature of the Douglas household should make for a fun visit. "Coach Yates and Coach Pete are coming down sometime this month," he said. "Coach Wilcox might come too. It's going to be great. There's just so much competition in my house with anything we do. It's like who can walk to the kitchen the fastest or do the most pushups. We're just so competitive and it has made me the person I am. I'm just looking forward to showing Coach Pete my actual life," Douglas added.

The target date for Bryan's arrival in Boise has been set and he plans on being in excellent condition upon his arrival on campus. "I plan on leaving right after the Fourth of July," he said. "I've been working out with my brother and going up to the field. We've been working on footwork and I've got a weight bench right on my balcony."

Douglas showed he could play on both sides of the ball this past season as he put up excellent numbers at both WR and CB. "I had 44 catches for 852 yards, 4 TDs, 52 tackles, 14 pass breakups, 5 INTs, and I returned a kick for a TD."

The future Bronco best described his commitment to Boise State as an 'unexplainable feeling.' "I don't know how to explain it," he said. "It's an unexplainable feeling. I can't wait to get up there and I'm really looking forward to it."
