Bronco Gymnasts Stay Perfect

Bounced from the Top 25 last week, Boise State went on the road and took care of business in downing Cal State Fullerton in WAC gymnastics action this afternoon.

Boise State 's gymnastics team earned a big road win this afternoon with a 193.70-191.250 victory over Cal State Fullerton.

Junior Hannah Redmon continues to be one of the most successful Bronco gymnasts in school history.  Redmon won the vault (9.90), uneven bars (9.850) and floor exercise (9.90) in leading Boise State to their second Western Athletic Conference win and fourth win without a loss this season overall.

Redmon's performance gave her season highs in all three apparatuses.  She is now #4 all-time at Boise State with 11 vault wins and also #4 with 11 floor wins.

Kelsey Lang made it a sweep with an individual title on balance beam, completing her routine with a fine 9.750 score.  Sophomore Amy Glass, who was kept out of most of last season with an injury, captured the all-around title with a score of 38.60.

Boise State put the pressure on the Titan women from the beginning routine on bars.  The Broncos put up a 48.725 in the event with Glass tying Fullerton 's Shelly Cooper for second place (9.80).  Redshirt junior Katie Tuller scored a 9.750 and sophomore Lindsay Kazandjian had a 9.725.

The Lady Broncos then vaulted their way to a 48.925 score.  Redmon, Glass (9.80) and Sarah Smith (also 9.80) led a Bronco sweep.  Smith set a career high with her vault.  Lang posted a 9.725.

Smith earned a third-place finish in floor with a 9.750 while Yvette Leizorek had a 9.725.  The Broncos then swept the top three spots on the beam to secure the victory.  Glass finished right behind Lang with a 9.725 and junior Mallory Dziawura scored a 9.70 with her routine.

Boise State hosts Sacramento State and Seattle Pacific next Friday, February 12th.  It will be featured as the annual Beauty and the Beast competition where fans can also see the defending Pac-10 Champion Bronco wrestling team.  With the win over Cal State Fullerton, the Broncos move to a 29-18 lead in the all-time series between the two schools. The win also marked the seventh-straight win over the Titans.
