Bakersfield College DE Tyrone Crawford (Windsor, ON) is one of the most highly anticipated signees in the 2010 recruiting class. This is mainly due to the fact that many around the Boise State program see him as a possible contributor to the 2010 team and perhaps even challenging as a starter. He's currently on pace to receive his AA this spring and he can't wait to arrive in Boise. "Everything is going good," he said. "I'm just finishing up my AA before I head up to Boise," he added.

Tyrone has been keeping in close contact with Head Coach Chris Petersen and Defensive Coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski. "I talked to Coach Pete two days ago and Coach K a week ago," Crawford said. "Coach Pete was just wondering how I was doing and letting me know they are still thinking about me. I told him I'm pumped and ready to go."

Crawford (6'4, 258, 4.7) is currently going through a rigorous workout routine as he hopes to be in the best condition possible upon his arrival. "I'm training hard right now so I'll be ready," he said. "I'm trying to do what I think Boise is doing and a little more. I'm working out with the Bakersfield team in the morning and with a trainer at night."

Tyrone's journey to Boise State is almost complete and that hard work has paid dividends for the new Bronco. Crawford sees his journey to The Blue as a long road and he just had to keep going. "It was a big transition from Windsor to Bakersfield," he stated. "I just look at it as a highway with a couple accidents on the road, but you got to keep going. I know it'll be hard at Boise too. I'm just going to do what I have to do."

That long and winding road that Crawford traveled began in HS and he's thrilled to be a Bronco. "This is what I've been working on since HS," he said. "I knew I still had a goal to accomplish when I was told I had to go to JC. I'm happy I accomplished my goal of becoming a Bronco and I'm excited about setting new goals," Crawford added.
