Boise State Whips Washington State 6-1

Boise State's women's tennis team downed Washington State 6-1 yesterday at the BOAS Indoor Tennis Center in Boise. After winning the doubles point, five of the six singles players for Boise State won in straight sets.

 

The Boise State women's tennis team trounced Washington State 6-1 yesterday at the BOAS Indoor Tennis Center in Boise .

The Broncos captured the doubles point as all three Boise State teams won their matches.  Action continued in singles play as #27 Pichittra Thongdach downed Liudmila Vasilieva 6-0, 6-2 to put Coach Mark Tichenor's team up 2-0.  Bianca Jochimsen also won in straight sets 6-2, 7-5.  Stephanie Jasper clinched the win at #4 singles when she put away Marina Nicholas 6-4, 6-1.  Elyse Edwards and Marlena Pieztuch also won in straight sets for the final score.

The Lady Broncos are now 3-0 at home and 6-4 on the season while Washington State slips to 7-4.

Boise State hosts Utah of the Mountain West Conference next Saturday.
