Capital HS ATH Matt Miller (Helena, MT) signed with Boise State on February 3rd and is widely regarded as the #1 prospect in the State of Montana for the 2010 recruiting class. Miller is currently in the middle of basketball season and he plans to switch gears to football immediately following the season. "The playoffs start next week," Miller said. "We have to win next week to advance to the state tournament. I'm focused on that right now," he added.

Miller (6'3, 201, 4.55) is still keeping in close contact with his future coaches at Boise State. "I still talk to Coach (Brent) Pease quite a bit," he stated. "We're mostly texting back and forth right now. Every now and then Coach Pete will send me one too."

Matt received a package in the mail last week that will allow him to get a head start on his Bronco career. "I have the formations and personal groupings," he said. "It's all about learning the new terminology. I just have to learn what theirs is compared to ours. I think I'll be able to pick it up pretty quick when I can sit down and focus on it."

Miller will jump right in the high flying Bronco offense and he's hoping to make an impact. "I'm going to go in and compete," he said. "I think about how much fun it'll be to play in a potent offense all the time. I'm going to go in there and be like a sponge. I'm going to soak up all I can."

Being a member of Bronco Nation is all about pride and Miller is already feeling it. "I say that I'm a Bronco with a lot of pride," Miller said. "It's really cool to be able to say that. I'm already in-love with the university and I haven't even spent a week on campus yet."

Prosser, WA quickly joined the Boise State family when Kellen and Kirby Moore chose to play for the Broncos. It's safe to say that Helena, MT will be next to follow suit. "You can walk around Helena and more Boise State shirts are popping up," he stated. "Even kids from the other side of town are wearing Boise State stuff. Parents from the other teams keep telling me that they'll be pulling for me and supporting me."

The future Bronco has some goals in mind. "I want a good degree. Education is important to me," he said. "Hopefully, we can win the conference every year and compete for the national championship. I'll be real happy if we can do that," he added.
